Frankfurt - Price growth in the euro area probably ticked up only slightly in October and stayed dangerously close to zero, most analysts bet prior to Thursday's inflation figures. Combined with a faltering economy and high unemployment, such a scenario won't provide much support for the European Central Bank's (ECB) monthly rate-setting meeting scheduled for next week. The headline preliminary Consumer Price Index (CPI) is expected to have booked a 0.4% rise during the tenth month of the year, just a notch above the 0.3% 'mini-hike' snatched in September.
