UK Retail Sales to Decelerate at Q3 End

There is a possibility that retail sales volume growth could maintain pace in September, supported partly by the core measure of consumer price inflation, which dropped significantly to 1.5% in September from 1.9% a month earlier. The total CPI slowed to 1.2%. UK shop prices also remained significantly down in deflationary territory in September with the outlook for shop prices expected to remain subdued in the coming months, according to the British Retail Consortium (BRC).
