Canada Preview: Sep CPI Still Seen Above BOC Target
Canada's inflation rate is expected to remain above the Bank of Canada's 2.0% mid-range target in September, with both the total and core year-over-year inflation rates anticipated to stay at 2.1%. Analysts' forecast in a MNI survey center on an expectation of a +0.1% monthly increase in the total CPI, with estimates ranging from -0.1% to +0.2%, and a 0.2% gain in the core index, with estimates between 0.0% and +0.3%.
