ANZ Commodity Price Index - The good, the bad and the udderly

The ANZ Commodity Price Index declined for the seventh consecutive month, easing 1.3% in September. Nine commodity prices declined in September, three increased and five were unchanged. Dairy products led the decline, with skim milk powder prices falling 14% from the previous month, to its lowest level since June 2012. Apple prices dropped 11% on limited volumes in the European marketplace. Butter prices fell 8% in September, while the price of whole milk powder and pelts both declined 5%, and cheese prices dropped 3%.
