The euro area1 (EA18) seasonally-adjusted2 unemployment rate3 was 11.5% in August 2014, stable compared with July 20144, but down from 12.0% in August 2013. The EU281 unemployment rate was 10.1% in August 2014, the lowest value since February 2012. The rate was down from 10.2% in July 20144, and from 10.8% in August 2013. These figures are published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
