In a sold-out, 300-seat North London theater, Kevin Rodgers recently sang the parts of four villains in Jacques Offenbach’s “Tales of Hoffmann” so well that he got both bravos and boos during a curtain call. The performance by the bass-baritone was all the more remarkable because just three months ago he was head of foreign-exchange trading at Deutsche Bank AG in London.
