US CFTC: Spec Accounts Have Extended Net Euro, Net Yen Shorts

Speculative accounts again added to their net euro short positions as well as their net yen short positions as of August 26, according to U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data, released Friday. The CFTC's Commitments of Traders report - non-commercial, futures-only section, excluding options - showed speculators had a net euro short position of -150,657 contracts as of August 26, compared to last week's net short of -138,825 contracts. This week's net short is the largest net euro short since July 24, 2012 (-155,066 contracts). A contract size over 100,000 contracts is generally viewed as extended. The ... (full story)
