China home prices rise at slowest pace this year in June
China's house prices rose at their slowest annual pace so far this year in June, official data showed on Friday. Average new home prices in China's 70 major cities rose 4.2 percent on year, slower than May's 5.6 percent rise, according to Reuters' calculations based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In Beijing new home prices rose 6.4 percent on year, slower than May's 7.7 percent rise, while prices in Shanghai rose 7.0 percent, slower than May's 9.6 percent increase. Following the data, China Merchants Property fell over 1 percent, while Poly Real Estate and Vanke eased 0.3 percent each. ... (full story)
