Consumer prices in Germany are expected to rise by 0.9% in May 2014 compared with May 2013. Based on the results available so far, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the consumer prices are expected to decline by 0.1% on April 2014. The harmonised consumer price index for Germany, which is calculated for European purposes, is expected to increase by 0.6% in May 2014 on May 2013. Compared with April 2014, it is expected to be down 0.3%. The final results for May 2014 will be released on 13 June 2014. (full story)
