Italy industrial output slips more than expected
Italy's industrial production fell more than expected in February, reversing a big increase in the previous month as output of all products except perishable goods declined. Industrial output in the euro zone's third-largest economy declined 0.5% from January in seasonally adjusted terms, national statistics institute Istat said Thursday. A more modest drop of 0.1% had been the average forecast of 10 economists polled earlier by Dow Jones Newswires.
