US durable goods orders preview
The Commerce Department reports on business orders for long-lasting manufactured goods in December. The report comes out at 8:30 a.m. EST Tuesday. ORDERS UP: The forecast is that orders for durable goods, items expected to last at least three years, increased 1.7 percent in December, according to a survey by FactSet. RISING DEMAND: In November, businesses increased their orders and a key category that signals business investment plans climbed at the fastest pace in 10 months.
