US Economy - GDP Preview
The U.S. economy likely grew faster in the April-June quarter than the government first estimated, in part because the United States exported more goods and imported fewer. Economists forecast that second-quarter growth will be revised up to a 2.3 percent annual rate from a previous estimate of 1.7 percent , according to a survey by FactSet. The Commerce Department will release the report at 8:30 a.m. EDT Thursday. The expectation of stronger growth in the April-June quarter comes largely from a narrowing in the trade deficit in June — information that government analysts didn't have a month ago when they released ...
