Movie stars used to be known for their wild spending. Next week, many will be cutting their budgets down — way down — living on $1.50 of food a day for five days to raise awareness for global poverty. The “Live Below the Line” campaign is designed to raise awareness about just how tough life is for the world’s 1.4 billion residents who live in extreme poverty.
