All those fiscal cliff countdown clocks that are splashed all over the financial media aren’t entirely accurate. Sure the deadline to address tax increases and spending cuts is Dec. 31. But, as UBS' UBSN.VX +1.01% Art Cashin points out in his morning note, there are several mini-deadlines rapidly approaching that could offer telling signs on whether the economy will teeter over the cliff. From Cashin: Congress is due to adjourn on December 21 so the last day to introduce a bill is December 18th. Also, the President is due to head for Hawaii on December 17.
