German parliament member Manfred Kolbe is demanding transparency about whether European Central Bank President Mario Draghi is receiving income from an Italian pension, Germany’s Focus magazine reported over the weekend. Kolbe, who is a member of German chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU party, wants to know from the German government whether Draghi “in addition to his remuneration as ECB President, receives an annual pension of just under E200,000 from Italy,” the magazine said.
