Federal MPs are calling for an independent inquiry into allegations the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) covered up evidence of bribery by its note-printing subsidiaries. Two years before the RBA alerted the police to investigate allegations against Note Printing Australia (NPA), the company's secretary wrote a memo to then RBA deputy governor Ric Battellino outlining his concerns about payments made to foreign agents, ABC TV reported on Tuesday.
