Bunds’ Worrying Disbelief Over Euro Rescue
Policymakers talking about how this time they’re positively, definitely going to rescue the euro typically sends equities soaring and drives down government bond yields across the single currency’s most stressed economies. But to be properly convincing, there needs to be one further market reaction–one that hasn’t yet been in evidence. And that’s a concerted selloff in Bunds, as German government bonds are known.
