German Two-Year Yields Approach Record Low Before Crisis Meeting
German two-year note yields were within one basis point of a record low before euro-region finance ministers meet in Brussels to discuss crisis-fighting measures adopted by heads of governments at a summit last month. Germany’s 10-year bund rate was little changed as a report showed exports from Europe’s largest economy rebounded more than economists forecast in May. Two-year yields fell below zero for the second consecutive day. The government sells as much as 4 billion euros ($4.9 billion) of six-month bills.
