UK Producer Price Index, May 2012
In the year to May 2012 the output price index for home sales of manufactured products rose 2.8 per cent, compared with a rise of 3.2 per cent last month. The last time the annual rate was lower was in November 2009, when the index rose 2.6 per cent. Between April and May the output index for home sales of manufactured products fell 0.2 per cent, compared with a rise of 0.6 per cent between March and April. In the year to May 2012 the output price index excluding food, beverages, tobacco & petroleum rose 2.1 per cent, compared with a rise of 2.3 per cent last month.
