Speculative Traders Still Betting On The Euro's Decline - CFTC
Speculative traders on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange continued to bet on the euro's decline, data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed on Friday. Trader increased their open short euro position or bets that the euro would fall by 17% to reach a net $19.4 Billion as of Tuesday, according to the CFTC's weekly commitment of traders report. That didn't come as a surprise giving the fact that traders started the week with the mounting concerns on the Spanish banking sector which kept the yield on the 10y Spanish government bonds close to 6%.
