Greek debt deal edges closer as talks restart

Charles Dallara, chairman of the Institute for International Finance (IIF), flew from Washington back to Greece after officials from Athens, and the so-called "troika" of the European Union (EU), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) indicated they were ready to proceed with the talks. The movement raised hopes that troika officials were also close to agreeing Greece's budgetary reforms with Lucas Papademos, the interim prime minister.
