Swiss producer and import prices rose 0.3% year-on-year in October, the Federal Statistical Office said Monday. Economists had forecast a 0.7% increase. On a monthly basis, producer and import prices fell 0.4%. Meanwhile, economists had forecast a flat reading. Individual indicators showed that the producer price index fell 0.2% month-on-month, but rose 0.4% over a year earlier. At the same time, the import price index decreased 0.9% on a monthly basis in October and climbed 0.2% compared to the previous year. (full story)
