In March 2024, household consumption expenditure on goods increased over one month (+0.4% in volume* after +0.1% in February 2024 – revised data). This increase was driven by purchases of engineered goods (+0.8%) and food products (+0.5%). Conversely, energy consumption fell by 0.6%. Over the first quarter of 2024 as a whole, household consumption of goods was virtually stable (+0.1% after -0.5% in Q4 2023).
