According to provisional data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by a seasonally and calendar-adjusted 3.4% in March 2023 compared with February 2023. The decline follows an increase of 2.1% in February 2023 (provisional value: +2.0%). Looking at the 1st quarter of 2023, the production was 2.5% higher than in the 4th quarter of the previous year.
