Eurozone Oct Economic Sentiment Rises For First Month In Four
Eurozone economic sentiment rebounded in October, recording it first advance in four months and rising to just above its long-term average, data from the European Commission showed Thursday. The Commission's Economic Sentiment Index (ESI) for the currency area rose to 100.7 in October, up from an unrevised 99.9 in the previous month and firmly ahead of the 99.5 forecast in a poll conducted by MNI. Economic sentiment rose by 0.8 points to 100.7 in the euro area and by 0.5 points to 104.0 in the wider EU bloc.
