Japan’s Industrial Production Unchanged in July, Missing Forecasts
Japanese industrial production was unchanged in July, defying forecasts calling for back-to-back months of gains and raising fresh worries about the health of the world’s third largest economy. Industrial production was flat in July, following a 2.3% increase in June that was the biggest in three months, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said in a report on Wednesday. A median estimate of economists forecast a 0.7% increase. Compared to July 2015, industrial production declined 3.8%, official data showed.
