Abe, Cameron agree on need of balanced approach to prop up economy
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and British counterpart David Cameron agreed Thursday in London on the need to promote increased government spending and other economic measures to bolster the flagging global economy, while vowing to work together in fighting terrorism. Abe has been traveling Europe since Sunday to coordinate with leaders from the Group of Seven industrialized countries. The meetings have focused on dealing with uncertainties over the global economy, which is expected to be high on the agenda at the G-7 summit that Japan will host on May 26 and 27.
