Canada GDP Declines in February
Canada's economic output shrank in February for the first time in five months, led by declines in wholesale trade and manufacturing, and tempering a recent string of encouraging data. Gross domestic product, the broadest indicator of goods and services produced by an economy, fell 0.1% from a month earlier to 1.67 trillion Canadian dollars ($1.33 trillion), Statistics Canada said Friday. Market expectations were for a 0.2% decline, according to economists at Royal Bank of Canada.
