Japan's central bank hikes governor's pay for the 1st time in 9 years
The Bank of Japan has given its governor something the government wishes all private-sector employees in Japan could get - a pay raise that might help make the policy dubbed "Abenomics" work. The pay-hike is the first in nine years for BOJ's governor. Other board members and executive directors are also receiving a 1.3 percent raise. The central bank, in a statement on Tuesday, said the annual salary of Haruhiko Kuroda for the year that ends March 2015 would rise to 34.67 million yen ($294,638).
