Hollande: France Reforms To Continue Despite Weak Econ
French President Francois Hollande said Wednesday that he would not alter his economic reform plans because of the broad weakness in the country's economy. "It is not because the situation is difficult in France and in Europe that we must give up," Hollande said in an interview with the daily Le Monde. "On the contrary, we must go faster and further." Growth in France's economy ground to a halt in the first half of the year, with GDP not expanding at all in either the first or second quarters.
