New home sales lift in June quarter: HIA
Sales of new homes lifted in the quarter after a surge in apartment sales in the month of June, according to the Housing Industry Association. In the three months to June, new home sales increased 2 per cent, the survey of Australia's largest volume builders showed. In the month of June, new home sales rose 1.2 per cent, driven by a 15.9 per cent spike in sales of multi-units.
