Bank of Spain sees 0.5% GDP growth
In 2014 Q2, the pick-up in the Spanish economy continued gradually to strengthen, in a setting in which the normalisation of financial conditions and the improvement in employment and in confidence made further headway. On the information available, GDP is estimated to have increased at a quarter-on-quarter rate of 0.5% (compared with 0.4% in Q1). Following four consecutive quarters of quarterly increases in output, the year-on-year rate of change in GDP is expected to stand at 1.1% (0.5% in the previous quarter).
