German Investor Confidence Rises as Recovery Strengthens
German investor confidence rose in June amid signs the recovery in Europe’s largest economy is gathering pace. The ZEW Center for European Economic Research in Mannheim said its index of investor and analyst expectations, which aims to predict economic developments six months in advance, increased to 38.5 from 36.4 in May. Economists forecast a gain to 38.1, according to the median of 38 estimates in a Bloomberg News (GRZEWI) survey.
