ECB policymakers signal more rate rises to come
European Central Bank policymakers signaled on Wednesday that they are ready to tighten policy further after raising interest rates last week -- a move one said was not an "isolated decision." The ECB raised rates to 1.25 percent last Thursday, beginning what financial markets expect to be a steady run of hikes despite President Jean-Claude Trichet saying no decision had been made that last week's move would be the first in a series.
