by S. Wade Hansen The U.S. Dollar (USD) Made It Through Christmas The U.S. dollar (USD) made it through Christmas without getting a lump of coal in its stocking from Santa this year. No Coal in the USD's StockingI was anticipating lighter volume in the forex market through the Christmas holiday, and that is exactly what we got. This week started off with a little more volatility as the USD started to lose ground in early trading, but the USD was able to rebound nicely. In the end, I think we're going to see more of the same this week as we saw last week. Many traders are still out on holiday, which should leave volume relatively light as we head into the new year.
