In the first quarter of 2024 the seasonally and calendar adjusted, chained volume measure of Gross Domestic Product (Gdp) increased by 0.3 per cent with respect to the previous quarter and by 0.6 per cent over the same quarter of previous year.
The first quarter of 2024 has had 3 working days more than the previous quarter and the same number compared to the same quarter of previous year.
The quarter-on-quarter change is the result of an increase of value added in agriculture, forestry and fishing, in that of industry and in services. From the demand side, there is a negative contribution by the domestic component (gross of change in inventories) and a positive one by the net export component.
The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2024 is equal to +0.5%.
