I would like to start a discussion about Mr Alaidi “calls” here ate FF . I will take it as a personal project because I just love to engage myself in this kind of observation. Or should I say research?
If you feel like posting something meaningful about what he says just go ahead and do it .
I find it just so amusing to watch the new “guru” in town in his development stages. Their public quest, raise and fall. This kind of pattern/process just amazes me.
First of all I would like to make clear that I'm not here to bash the guy. He has being right for quite a while now, and I guess it gave him (recently) the title of “senior” strategist at CMC. He seems very comfortable dealing with the diverse pieces of the fundamental puzzle and overall he looks like a smart guy.
But.....I do have some questions here in the back of my mind that I can't seem to find reasonable answers.
For example:
Why a guy that appears to have so much knowledge about the market and such a skillful trader is still not rich? In the same thinking process...why is he not working by himself in the comfort of his house instead of going to CMC everyday ?
Why this guy work so many hours? It looks like that he starts in London and stay “connected” way after New York is closed so.....we have a good 12 to 14 hours working day.
Why does he charge people for his “seminars”, “ webinars” etc ? Or my question should be, why he even bothers with this kind of things if he makes his money trading? It just adds to his weekly working hours since he runs this things on weekends.
Anyways the list of questions goes on and I can't find some reasonable answers.
I already know that the naive will come here and tell me that he does it out of generosity, that he does not have to do it ...etc...etc. Well.....I'm sorry but I'm a little over the age of believing on fairy tales.
The most plausible answer that I may accept, is that he does it out of vainglory. He does seem to have a big ego, but, I find it hard to believe that somebody will put himself through all the above mentioned, just to “show off”. And if he does, he is sick, and he needs a psychoanalysis session . Not forgetting that the markets have a special way of punishing people with big egos.
Anyways, again...it will be funny to study and follow this guy steps and see what is going to happen. Looks like that he made two bad calls last week on gold and something else, but I'm not holding it against him because we all make mistakes right?
If you are smarter than me and you can come up with some explanations for my questions above feel free to join the discussion
