Hi xmess7,

I can't make this to work.
I have two distinct charts each with its own EA (v37.7.6) with multi-basket set to false and one more chart with EA (v37.7.6) with multi-basket set to TRUE.

In this MASTER chart I've chosen percent option and a ProfitLock level = 5%, but despite I've seen #B1 + #B2 profit exceed this threshold the lock never activated. Btw TP and SL are left to zero in this master chart, only ProfitLock is set.

I doubt very much that the EA opened 130 trades in that time span. Once the EA is done opening the Trades there are internal flags that are set off that prevent it from opening any more trades. One flag is set to monitor the TOTAL OPEN TRADES. As long as TOTAL OPEN TRADES is greater than 0 (which means you have open trades) the EA cannot open any new trades. The TOTAL OPEN TRADES would have to go to 0 and the EA would have to see a new OPen hour. Oh in addition when a basket is opened the EA records the time that happened. So the in order for the EA to consider opening a new set of trades the OPEN HOUR (00:00GMT in your case) must be greater than the recorded time that the last basket was opened.

Do this. Go to the history tab... and right click your mouse to get a drop down menu.
In the menu put a check mark on SHOW COMMENTS.

You will then see to the right a column with comments. Please send an image of the comments that contain your COMMENT that you have on the indicator input.
You will also see something like "Basket_01_1" "Basket_01_2" etc
That will tell you how many trades the EA actually opened.

Use v37.7.6. That will avoid that issue of what reinhr indicated.
Let me explain what v37.7.5 is lacking. In the past there was an issue with the EA not opening basket number 10 for example.
Folks would setup the baskets and the EA would open only a certain number. So in order to fix that issue the interval for when the basket opens was extended to 5 minutes. So if it is what reinhr indicates that yes it makes sense. The SL must of been hit within the 5 minutes MANY TIMES and the EA was just reacting to what it new. It new that the TOTAL NUMBER =0 and that it was still under 5 minutes from the open hour. Hence, BAM a new trade. This issued was brought up so in v37.7.6 it was remedied by adding a triggerhour. That is when the trades happen the EA records the hour. NOW when the basket is closed due to SL the EA must see a new open hour that is GREATER than that trigger hour. IT will not do anything until you change the open hour.. and it has to be greater than the trigger hour.

So go download it and recoup your profit.

The closetrade routines are coded such that all OPEN TRADES must be 0 before the routine stops trying to close a trade.
It will continuously loop thru all open trades and close them until there are 0 left. The issue is more with the close hour condition.
If the EA doesn't get a signal from the close hour condition it won't get to the close trade functions.
Like I said I will add a trigger that eliminates the need for a time interval.

For the meantime I extended the interval to 5 minutes. So when you place 19:00GMT as a CLOSE hour, the EA will look to close any basket that is open during the hour range 19:00 to 19:05 GMT. This should do the job for now until I release v37.7.7.
Go ahead and download the modified version. I didn't change the version number cause 37.7.7 is almost finished, so it's still named v37.7.6.

Now that is strange. That is a first. Like I said when a close function is called, it will loop thru all open trades... until there are 0 trades left.

Could u do this please. Go to the history tab and show the comments. Once you have the comments showing up on the right side. See if u can find the 4 trades and orphaned that were closed. I want to see what the comments were, that may tell me WHY there was an orphan.

I believe that the best suggestion I can make is ... BEFORE you go live setup your trades then make a Profile, open the Profile and ensure that auto trading is OFF.
Check the settings to make sure they are correct, then check them all again. Save as a profile.
Then and only then click to engage Auto Trading and make sure you are on DEMO.
Only then should you, once you are happy with the result should you go live and not before!
This is my standard process BEFORE live ... why ... because it eliminates errors (we all make them).
Good luck and GOOD management for the future.
This is my suggestion and others may have suggestions on their own individual process.
Practice makes perfect and it never hurts to check check check.

What I like about this setup is if there are opposing signals (example GBPUSD on Basket 1 and Basket 5) the they essentially hedge each other, and leave the TP to the other non conflicting signals.

so guys, would it be safe to assume the profit lock and the tp features on gvc dashboard don't work? I've tried the DB on 3 different brokers and the tp and profit lock didn't kick in

You have to enable basket TP and lock in the settings on true

If you add that account to MyFxbook or FXBlue you can distinguish between magic numbers/hours etc. look at the individual DD's etc. etc.
Then you can pick out the settings that are the best (consistent) performer.
