The euro has not even entered a similar gap on the daily and weekly bar charts. The top of the gap is near $1.0820, and the euro barely slipped through $1.0840. The euro can rise into the $1.0930-$1.0950 area without improving the outlook. However, a gain through there could signal not simply another run at $1.10, but possibly even the $1.11 area.

So, I am not the only one who thinks that way. Good.

Why? So if you don't have 50-100k liquid cash but you are well educated trader and have good strategies in place you shouldn't take your chance? It's the same if you use your savings money or you loan it from your parents. If you are dumb you will blow it anyway.

I agree, that simply displaying negative attitudes towards trading in a forum aimed at helping traders trade better is counterproductive.

As regards to the strategy that You posted I am not in agreement. Simply choosing a time window every day and going long on the open does not guarantee a long term positive result. You wrote about 10-20 pip TP, but didn't mention any SL. Most likely price will not reach it's target most of the time and will trigger SL-s by random short term fluctuations. Perhaps you left out some essential element that would help achieve a consistently positive result with this method, but in it's current form it is a guaranteed negative approach.

The purpose of that post was to show possibilities of profit while following particular strategy or trading pattern. Not to educate person to ground 0 aspects of trading. I have never said that someone has to follow it blindly. I have no purpose here to educate no one . I simply share my thoughts. Will you accept it or deny it it's totally up to you. I had bad days to but I have never said forex is bad idea or something like that. If he doesn't see endless possibilities of profit here then he should find some other source of income for himself. It works for me just fine! I will say more I love this money game !

And yes of course I cut something out. I have 2gb of prinscreened data from 2008-2014 when I was analyzing just Asian market behavior in that exact time frame. It changed now but back then it was very predictable for sometimes.

If you have found a way to make this method work, I can't argue against it. Of course I would ask for how long have you been using this method?

I have traded many many methods that have been profitable for even multiple months, but in the end drawdowns have eroded back all the gains. After years of trying to ignore fundamentals and focusing only on technicals I have found that I need to learn to combine FA & TA in order to become consistently positive.

And for those of you here who still on Demo but want to go with real money, before you do that try to open $50 account and make $1000 out of it. Time period doesn't matter. 1 months 1 year whatever. It's annoying as hell but if you can manage it you will have success in this business .

Exactly !!! Just like you I started with technical only. Hated stupid data specially when you don't understand it. And later I have learned how to combine it together, how to separate useful and useless news. And yes none of the strategy works for long periods. But I learned I how to be flexible. Just recently honestly. September 2016 when E dropped and I was still buying it. I posted earlier I managed to get 5-10% profit monthly just recently 2016-2017 . Don't know for how long it will last but for now I am riding this wave!

My last wave ended in March, when I had given back all profits earned since November. Haven't traded larger volume after that, only small money and mostly small losses. But made the decision to come back to this forum, because I see that there are a lot of smart people here sharing ideas that you don't find in books and also to see what is the overall sentiment.
