on the smaller setup. the optimal setup is short as near as 115.48 as possible, pa allowed. or the long below 113.27 as close to 112.48 as pa allows. or the larger is the short, as close to 115.62 with stops above it. with st targeting 115.48, i figured i may get to squeeze one in 115.48/.62. having reached 115.48 and being close to 115.62.

trading with a pending allows me to step away days before. later

i see 115.4x number... i got in a little earlier at 115.35, look left on chart, it may be enough, im b.e now, will re enter on a second attempt at 115.40...

Gator, if the stop at 115.62 is hit, do you close with the intention of reentering higher? 115.62 does not really invalidate the larger bearish setup? (115.62-118.61 for 106.68)

the point of 115.4x is determined by the point of the high... which invalidates (usually) the set-up, that doesn't mean it cant be entered higher///

thats how i play it anyway

115.62 invalidates one of the smaller bearish setups, but is in fact needed in order to allow the larger bearish setup. In such sense it seems that 115.62 could be the start of the journey south, not the end of it. At least this is how I understand it. Of course, it is important to see also Gator's opinion

its not invalidated. i just zoomed in on smaller tf to look for a reason to go back to 108.xx..

a few weeks back as you are suggesting on uj. the gu did exactly that. it went a little deeper of what the smaller setup suggested. it has since gone toward its larger norm from 1.1987. it did go lower than the 1.1994 that the smaller setup had as a threshold. it hasn't yet recovered the normal bounce, but it did go 700 pips since. i am using the smaller setups to help to get in on a larger. they dont always work exactly as planned. waiting for them usually keeps the losses to a minimal. waiting for them gives greater reward potential when right.

Agreed. 108.72 is waiting sooner or later...
But if 115.62 is broken, how high would you look for the next bearish setup?

It's what gator said in the post below yours... if it makes the higher high in smaller Tf doesn't negate the move completely, it can still go higher with a drop to same levels... also a higher high can still drop - sometimes I trade it to the Quarter if you use it - the EJ one is a higher high at 123.30 .... but bigger level at 123.x
