Trading Made Simple is the 5-Method. This is simple and elegant way to trade the trend.
There is a trend in every timeframe chart you look at... from M1 to MN.
Trade that trend of that moment, or some prefer to call them 'mini-trends' in those very fast timeframes.

I just wanted to share some further understanding that you and Griffinsoul has helped me with - and that is the principle of taking a higher timeframe condition (bullish) or signal and using the Lower time frame to get a better set up (in terms of risk and reward). A recent example happened for me on the GBP/JPY pair and it was your directions that helped me capitalise on a very profitable set up.

USDCAD Week 46 Nov 14 to 18 Trade Plan.

Last week we saw UCad traded above 1.3462 and closed pull back from 1.3535, both are historical swing levels.

Trading next week following the Weekly as our Primary Trend and looking at H1, the price Action is nicely stack 10EMA above 50EM and above 200EMA, we look to buy as our preference trade direction and using the 5-Method's use of the 5EMA,Typical Price,Shift+3 as our direction we look for buy setups in both H1 and also H4.

Caution is we do not know what the market events next week i.e. the post-US elections events would be which can affect the market. There are a few red coded news on the FF calendar. Always pay attention to what goes on in the commodity market during the London session when we are trading the AUD,NZD and CAd pairs. I would be caution when I look at USDCAD D1 chart and if I see any bearish price bar /candlestick pattern or any bearish chart pattern on H1 or even M15.

Note the large 'daylight' on the H1 chart -
'daylight" = the space between the price action and the the EMAs and especially the space between the 10EMA/50EMA and 200EMAs, These are room for corrective moves or price pull back to any of the 50 EMA or 200EMA are possible.

Trade Well and Trade Safe, always use a Stop Loss and trade with Risk % and Position Sizing.

An example of the TMS method alongside some key fundamental divergence which emerged last week from Aussies, and New Zealand central banks. Nothing complicated, just trading the obvious with TMS signalling the way . AUD/NZD trade on the Daily timeframe...

Thanks for sharing.

I also saw some good chance to short EU and EG, long GA/GC/GN/GJ. If i trade all these 5 pairs, i worried about the possible correlation among them. Can you provide some suggestion? if it were you, which pairs you would pick if all these 6 are good to go.

I have 16 pairs in my watchlist and group them into 4 groups.
Pick the best one from each group and one more from the remaining.
this way, you have 5 pairs/basket to trade and with a win ratio of 60:40, you get 3 wins, and 2 losses or BE. You will get some losing trades but very seldom losing baskets. That is the way I build my positions in the market not just build position in one pair with 5xME/ME trades per basket, but using 5 pairs/baskets in the market at any one time. This is how you can grow an account with very small drawdown less than 10%.

Position building is not about trading in small lot sizes. It is about getting into the market at the best average entry price with the same risk % you trade with. For example if your trade with 2% risk per currency pair, you can break down that 2% into smaller risk, like 0.2% each for every trade entry. This would mean you can have up to 10 entries with the same 2% maximum risk. You can enter at different price levels so that you can have several trades which will give your an overall better average entry price. In most cases the market will not retrace deep enough for you to utilize your full 2%, this is not the problem. You can always scale-in more trades as the price move in your favour.
I have posted many live trades with charts with explanation as I showed how to manage those Multiple Entries / Multiple Exits ME/ME trades using 4H and D1 charts trading. Just use the forum search with keyword "build a ppsition" , there are 72 posts to read.

about Multiple Entries / Multiple Exits
you can trade the H4 and D1 with ME/ME instead of trading Single Entry/Single Exit SE/SE like Big E used to.

Thanks Emm for this learnful post! Trying to follow you and this is a huge learning curve for me. I have a problem with the minicharts when I tried to set up. I followed your previous posts to install it and I managed all the settings http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...70#post8910070, all works however I can't make the TDI visible. I did enable TDI true but still no lines.
Edit: found it, renamed the indicator which minicharts is referring to in the settings

I am reading a lot and getting used to the basics of the 5-method. I want to ask some questions regarding the charts in your example.

-> trade setup H4 in your example

1. Just a general question, only 5-method related: For entering that H4 trade (all requirements are met in H4), is it a prerequisite for you that also green crosses red in D1 (or has been crossed) ? Or is it enough to see a visual indication that D1 is turning (looking at the number of D1 bars, looking at historical bars and its turning points, size of bars in D1 getting smaller, green sloping up to red but not crossed yet,...)?

2. Do we care a lot about W1 trend if we trade in H4 in your example, or only see that D1 trends are nicely bouncing up?

3. For 10MA and 50MA, do we use it formally in the 5-method? Or do we use them only for our "plan" to estimate potential support/resistance levels?

4. I used to be trading stocks, where 50MA and 200MA crosses were very bullish or bearish for the stock. Does this also apply for forex? Does 10MA crossing 50MA means something or are we just looking at it as potential bounce areas?

5. Do you sometimes wait for price to cross above 10MA even if all 5 TMS rules are met?

6. Suppose we are in a good trade and made some nice pips already but price is still running our direction. Is a bump to the 50MA a good indicator to close the trade (Partially take profits?) or is it better to stick with rules (green goes flat/hooks...)

I know this are beginner questions, and I really appreciate taking a look at my questions. I already apologize if I starting to hit your nerves ;-)

nice trades. but how much further is it going to go ? it wont be wise to enter the trade now right as the candle may flip based on 3-8 candles recommended from big E.

I agree that the entries are late on Daily charts ( probably they are on lower time frame in the direction of the daily and weekly)
the time to exit will show on the slope of the green line ( if that is your question).

I wouldn't chase the market. It's stalling at 1.0800 a decent level of resistance.
