GRPC is a great choice and I've started using it (and Protocol buffers) for some of the newer areas of my system that won't need to see browsers or be human readable etc. That said I've made the serialisation and transport policy classes that I use as template params so a retrofit into the old cold probably won't take to much time... but it aint broke yet so its only a "nice to have" feature.

Yes I will be posting major updates here, but all the small technical ones I will spam into the topic over at bunkerforexforum.com. I took a little break from it for traveling. Will be back working on it soon.
