answer to a question.. It does not matter the pair or range but + 10 was made.

A= 4 x1 hour candles...
B = break of high.
c = following trigger it retraced before going up.

How do we trade it??.
1/ normally I enter on break as the odds are better for continuation...
2/ OR let it retrace then enter, obviously we do not know how far it will retrace (look for clues)
second way can make you a lot more points and your loss is less if it fails....

Are the 4x1 hour candles represented by a consistent pattern? Those candles look consolidated.

good question but forget it.
I used hour candles so you could see the retrace,
I could of used 5 minute candles etc.. you look at the break then trade it OR let it retrace then trade it..

BUT,,, you spoke of consolidation.. If we had several 15 minute candles or even 5 min you could do as you stated..

Not 100% sure we on the same thing but here's my chart from Thursday on 15 min.

Shows consolidation and breakout. Good example - of course it's an extreme because of the big move ............. too early in the day for me.

I was trying not to be negative about consolidation bars as I know they do break out.
I am trying to get people to forget about everything just focus on the break of 04-00 candle.
