It is true...

the biggest problem of renko graphics, is that omit large gaps (product exchange news or week) and fill in the chart with false information, you can not trust the backtest.

even so, I do not rule out the use of renko graphics. the use of small bricks can be used for technical Intraday / scalping

Hi there, renko chart is good . but in certain time there's alot of choppy... any idea how to handle the choppy market?

Hi, Math.
Sorry if this was answered already but I could not solve my problem yet.
I am trying to build non-gap renko bars with wicks so I can use these bars data later for backtesting with any expert advisor.

I followed the instructions at post #1 very strcitly and see the offline M2 history data (File>>>Open offline. eurusd,m2 - i.e) and yet could not import this m2 data to an offline terminal as M1 (Tools>>>History Center>>>eurusd 1 minute >>>import).
How do I do it? I find the m2 data but the import process does not work, like it is not importing the data into imported data window.

Please help.

Non-gap idea is implemented so that we can do backtesting on Renko charts. Median Renko charts have gaps between consecutive bars which defeats the purpose.

The lowest volume Renko bars are normally due to a large jump in the price due to high impact news. There is no way to trade between price jumps.
