Guys thnx a lot. I really appreciate you sending the info and also creating the demo accounts.
It makes the debug/setup process a lot easier and way faster.

I will look thru these charts and then also examine the charts that the demos provide.
Remember... keep this in your mind and more importantly in your imagination... THIS DREDDING STUFF WORKS!.

Updated EA v13.2

Unfortunately the "wrong pivot" problem popped up again in the AUDUSD trade. The wierd thing is that it happens once in a while. I mean the other 3 pairs were showing the EA had detected the correct pivots.

Ok so I added a fix.. I didn't want to do this, but it's the way that we know for sure that the today's pivots are used and not yesterdays. The EA now on EACH candle calculates the pivots for today. So there is no way this can change... if it does change then I am blaming the BROKER lol...

Hi Jess,

The ea did a trade on the GBPAUD, but when it went to BE, it made the TP the wrong value:

Here's the entry:

Here's the move to BE:

Notice the TP is 129.48, instead of 1.9477

Wow, this is a first. Looks like you didn't set the EA to close any lots when it set the BE cause the lotsize is still the same.
Question, what other trades did u have open when this happened? 139.48 seems like a EURJPY value..

WAIT .......AAAAHHH!!! ... what is your input for Select_BE_Type???
is it:
setBE_at_xPercent_FromTargetTP_Remove_TP
or
setBE_at_xPercent_FromTargetTP_Keep_TP

??

If you have the first selected then it makes sense that the TP is different. I couldn't find a way to remove the TP programatically
so what I did is added like 2000 to 20000 pips LOL.

No, please do send me your logs and send that image of your account standing. I noticed that some of the trades do not have a TP/SL and that concerns me. There should be a SL and TP. So I want to see if your logs will indicate why that happened.

Someone wanted a PreSet file of the inputs I use. I forgot who but here it is.
Just rename the extension .txt to .set. For whatever reason I could not upload the .set file directly without changing it's extension.

Oh guys one more thing whenever you are uploading a file or files don't use INSERT. Just hit "Upload From Computer" for as many files u want, wait for then to appear on the bottom as done, and then just type yer message and hit "Post New Reply".

When you use the INSERT command all I see is a link and if I don't have time I don't click on the link LOL. What happens is that I don't see the thread till later and by that time the post is in the past and well I am dealing with the present so I forget to go back and check the link. The other way the image shows up right away and I can see it in that instant to deal with your question.

Freebie EA on Stocks

Broker:FxPro Demo
Stocks: Goldman Sachs, Apple, Teslamotors, Facebook, Linkedin

Inputs all defaults except :
PercentRisk=3
weekly_profit_percent_stop=50
Close_xPercent_Lots_at_BE=Yes
xPercent_Lots=50

I left this demo on and have been using the same EA with all the updates etc. The only big difference is that the stops are alot wider. Perhaps this is what we need to do with forex... that is have wider stop losses?

Ok no prob. It's a easy test, I must have the code mixed up to just remove the TP.

Otherwise it probably means that the Broker OrderSelect() function us acting weird. That is where I get the TP from when the EA is not supposed to not remove it.
OrderTakeProfit() is the variable that is supposed to have that TP for the ticket OrderTicket(). I know the EA got the right ticket order cause from your print out you clearly see the that the lotsize and stoploss did not change. All 3 are captured at the same using the same ticket number, so no way that the EA could of gotten a different TP from another trade or another pair.

Fix on the way...

EDIT:
Oh and download v13.2, that version you have will from time to time create the error of reading yesterday's pivot levels instead of today's

Update on Live Oanda account.

Folks... this week the account ended up in profit.

Currently with open trades the profit is 8%. The account was up as much as 15%. I attribute this improvement to the detection of the opposite 3sema dot. That info that keysharp provided has in my opinion propelled this EA when it comes to controlling a trade. I also have too mention that these results are including erroneous trades that the EA was not supposed take. Those trades either created loses or were handled and closed for small losses. Plus last nite when I was closing the AUDUSD trades I got into the "Close all suspicious trades" mode LOL. I closed my EURUSD runner!!!!! FRACK!! LOL. I broke rule. Can u tell me what happened?? Just look a the EURUSD chart below. In fact the EA got in AGAIN and created another runner... and I closed it again!!!.... look, look what happened just because I started to THINK lol. Ok, then I settled down and the EA got me another runner, AUDUSD. That one I did not touch!!

I took a brief look at the charts and logs u guys provided and I can say that the culprit was that error where the EA would use the wrong pivot levels. The reason I didn't suffer much of this problem was cause I would reload the EA just about after the new broker day started. As you know I was trying to fix the problem and with each modification I would reload all the charts. That was actually the fix LOL, by reloading the EA would recalculate the pivots and get the correct levels. Otherwise if you left it on, the EA would not get the right levels. In those cases where I did not reload the charts, that's were I saw the errors. v13.2 should now handle this cause I am forcing the EA to calculate the pivots after each candle close, its almost as if you reloaded the EA each time, of course it does not do that, ok? LOL.

So anyhow, next week I am going to implement a profit level. I may update the EA to include a minimum profit level. It would act like a BE does. So for example this week I saw my account up 15% by Monday nite, I would then active the minimum profit level say to 10%. As long as the account stays above that minimum the EA is allowed to continue trading. However if the profit hits that level then game over. EA is turned off and no more trading TILL next week.

More to come...

EDIT: one more thing. In the second chart I show how the indicator is a good tool to determine if your trades are ok. There is a problem with the indicator. The indicator works perfectly if you load it. But if you leave the indicator on, it will not update the pivot lines. This is very similar to what was happening with the EA. So when u use the indicator, as long as you have loaded it then u are seeing the correct information. So think of it as something you load and you can use it for the rest of the day, however when the new day comes you need to reload it to get the right data.

The live account had default settings except for autotrend=3sema, the demo had standard settings except autotrend was none. the live account was on 15M timeframe while the demo was on hrly. The attachment does not open except as an attachment. the ASS222 is the live account.

Yes, and I am not complaining. Next week I will run a more consistant ea than I did this past week. The demo was the more consistent ea. And yes there also was an improvement to the ea. So here's to next week!
