​I have just finished setting up the CCI charts on the VPS. Note in this case, the CCI periods have been optimized. The indicator on each chart has a different value according to the value in the related set file.

I mentioned in Post #38 that I was unable to optimize RSI periods, top and bottom levels because of time constraints. Maybe somebody with some spare CPU time can do that for me. (last 3 months of 2015 is just fine - but must be on every tick model)

Are these EAs work best with H1 timeframe?
Where do place the Closetrade EA?

​I have only backtested on the 60min timeframe but past experience suggests that this is a reasonable timeframe to give you a level of gratification.

The CloseTrade EA needs to be placed on any spare chart which does not have a trading EA attached.

Got to be honest I wasnt a member at this forum just used it to look for ideas EAs being one of them so glad I found your thread!
Just to say I pretty much joint up to say thanks for all your hard work and being good enough to share it to others. I have been using your EAs this week and playing / tweaking it and I can tell you it's a much better trader than me 😂 I struggle with emotions getting the better of me so it's nice to be able to take the back seat. I am using the EAs with a mixture of 30mins to 1hour and seeing unbelievable success. My only worry is I have a TP of around 80 pips in back testing that proved most profitable however I am concerned that it will turn round and go against and stop me out when I was maybe 60 pips up. My point is I have the trailing stop set but it doesnt seem to move the stop, is it running in the background without me knowing? When I look at the mt4 screen it is the same stop loss as it entered the trade with.

I tried to back test with break even introduced at 20 pips and then the back test was no longer profitable.

You mention that it has a fail safe if the trade goes against you is the automatic and what indicators does it use.
Sorry if these are basic questions I'm new to forex and EAs

The EA is designed for the Stop Loss to trail with every 5 pips (approximately) of favourable movement. This of course will only happen if you have set the Use TrailingStopLoss. If you are not seeing that update, look at your journal for confirmation of the request from the EA to update the Stop Loss.

It is possible that you may not have a unique Magic Number on each chart and that will cause problems.

Please have a good read of the Help Guide as many of the concepts are explained.

Dave, I notice that Base Currency is coded as 1 for all CCI set files, is this okay?

You make the choice according to your own home currency. The only affect in optimizations is the size of the trade.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply, you were correct I had not set individual magic numbers now each chart has its own number. Hopefully it will now work as planned thanks. Have you found that when back testing you get an unprofitable setting but when used for real it works perfect? I have found that on a few cases now, I am guessing backtest is not going to be 100% perfect.

Hi Dave I started forward test in demo account using all crossover EAs in one account and results are encouraging. 4.21% gain in just 5 days.

Dave, thank you for the clarification. I adjusted Base Currency is coded to 0 in the Non lag dot EA, is this the reason why I am getting a huge lot size on the USDJPY? What should I adjust in the EA?
