Hi, I have no idea in developing the ea thus seeking your help.
This ea aggressively place BUY orders as intended, however without StopLoss.
The ea also only one way i.e BUY/LONG direction, but when select SHORT/SELL the ea will not open any position either BUY or SELL.
No filter is required, just BUY or SELL once loaded on the MT4 platform.

Therefore, seeking your help for the following:

1) The ea sets STOPLOSS on each and every BUY/SELL order immediately.
2) The ea shall function both direction i.e BUY or SELL and Selectable depending on market direction.
3) Should possible - the ea shall be able to trade BUY and SELL at the same time (hedging).

I ran it on a EURJPY chart and opened trades on other currencies/charts ( USDJPY & EURUSD ) and it only set the breakeven on the EURJPY and not on any of the other charts so it appears to be working as it should as far as I can tell. I have updated parts of the code to remove "warnings" that appeared when I first compiled it.

Does anyone knows a EA that can close trades afther pass some time.

For example:

Once a trade is placed with the EA runing in the chart it will close the trade, not on a price level but afther pass x.. minuts.

For example
Have the EA runing on the chart

open trade at 12:00 and another one at 12:03.

I set the EA to close trades afther 5 minuts.

So, the EA will close trade 1 at12:00 + 5minuts = 12:05 and close trade 2 at 12:03 + 5minuts = 12:08

Does anyone knows a EA that does this. I didnt find anything like this so far. Mabe anyone can help me finding it or coding it. I think is simple to code.

Actually I'm running forward test for this system as I back tested already and got a very good result out of it!

If someone can actually code this then you will help everyone out there !

So these are my ea specifications

Pair : ONLY E/U (edited to add this)
Parameters :
1. risk percentage ( % of your equity you want to risk each trade )

How it works :
1. This ea will place 2 stop orders at the top and bottom of 6-7 am candle ( 2 candles trading range ) with buy stop at 50 pips ( 5 decimals ) above and sell stop at 39 pips below, the lots of these orders are calculated by ( EQUITY * RISK / 100 ) / ( BUY STOP PRICE - SELL STOP PRICE ) = LOT
(example if 6 am and 7 am candle have range of 200 points and risk 2% of 5000 equity then lot will be ( 5000 * 2 / 100 ) / 289 (plus 50 and 39 ) = 0.346 = 0.35 lot

2. Set stop loss for both buy stop and sell stop at the ask/bid price of the other one.

3. Set expiration timer for both orders to 11.59 am ( if order won't match until 11 am candle ran out then it's no trade )

3. If one of the orders is matched then the other order will be deleted.

4. (If one of the orders is matched) Move stop loss for the matched order at close of 8 am , 9 am candles to the top-bottom of 8,9 am candles +50,-39 for sell and buy order

5. (If one of the orders is matched) After 11 am candle closes , set stop loss and opposite stop order at the top ( for sell order ) - bottom (for buy order )of 10-11 am candles ( +50 -39 also ), just place only one order that opposites the current trade with the lot that already calculated after that loss. Set expiration at 14.59 (almost close of 14 am candle)

- If none orders is matched or matched order hit a stop loss : Place 2 stop orders just like what's done for 6-7 am candle but with 10-11 am candle instead. Set expiration at 14.59. If one of the orders is matched then delete the other.

6. If order from 6-7 am candles is still there and the price can break 10-11 am range (+50-39) at the same direction of your trade then delete the opposite stop loss trade.

7. If the order from 10-11 am range is matched, Set stop loss at 12,13 am at the top-bottom just like with the 8,9 am candles ( If price cannot break out from 10-11 am candles then don't set stop loss at 12-13 am candle yet )

You can see that there's no " close position " command in this ea, this means you have to close the position or set the tp yourself !
Usually I would like to close all orders at the close of 14 am candle and if I think the price can go further then I would wait for the better price.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone please help me to dump the Divergences along with CandelStick OHLC in an excel file using this Divergence indicator ? Basically , i need candleStick OHLC + RSI Level + Divergence Start Flag + Divergence End Flag. I believe it should be easy as all the information is available to indicator (it just needs to pushed into an excel )but i don't know mq4.

I need to backtest divergences and see if their is any value in them. I will post my results of backtesting ( in excel ) .

The data you are after probably will not give an accurate indication of RSI divergence, I use RSI and MACD for divergence and both behave quite differently and it is the sort of data that will not show accurately on indicator/price values comparison. For example RSI tends to show 3 small divergences and then the big move is usually on the 4th divergence and MACD shows good divergence except after a big move up/down where MACD divergence is of no value until the MACD has returned to the zero level and reset, that's my experience from using divergence as part of my trading arsenal.

It doesn't matter whether divergence data is from RSI or MACD or any other oscillator . What i am trying to achieve here from getting this data in excel is that i shall be able to quantify systematically if there is a distinct advantage in using divergence as pure trading strategy. I will use some MM techniques to see if i can extract some value in long term from such mechanical system. Currently , i can't do the same as all these diverges(arrows) are in charts , making me do all the work manually which is not the best way if we want to do a proper backtest ( i know excel backtest isn't the best but it is a good start than staring at charts and thinking i would have done this or i would have done that ..) . I hope you get my point.

Does anybody know why MT4 crashes if I run order scripts (close all orders or reverse order) but is OK if I run any other scripts?

Build 920 I suspect is your problem, there are threads about the 920 issues on this forum. There is a build 940 coming this Friday which might solve the latest issues plus MetaQuotes has updated MT4 to handle the font size issues on the latest computers.
