The 5m short entry at point 2 on your chart was the safest, but there were 2 (aggressive) entries prior to this one (though I missed the 1st one, it happened @ 6AM & I was ).

Now you or anyone else would like to tell why it would of been a bad idea to short on that no-demand there (blue vertical line).

Because it is inside the trading range, and you have to fish at the edges, not in the middle?

By the way, I read all your comments in this thread before already, that made me understand this kind of setups much easier.
Price and volume reveals everything. The market moves on supply and demand.

The key is
1. having a set of rules
2. keeping them

LOL I tried to be to smart today - I had a great week - so I was "too smart by half"
I saw something that was not really by my rules - but I was right most of the week so I had to be right now lol
I put on a trade - then a second trade - and I took a 80 pip loss - really for no reason but being stupid
do a great day became a good day

Keep the rules !!!

Are there any circumstances where tick volume is misleading when applying VSA? Or do you 100% treat them the same at all times?

according to Tom Williams the founder of VSA
he say tick is betters because it betters shows pro activity
either way it is 90% the same as normal volume

there is some issues with FX vs futures
but this has to do with how pro deal with both not the volume per say

Hope others got in some Oil shorts after that beauty Daily ND last Thursday. ND after recent PA printed a swing low followed by a swing high (making a LH). Price also below the 20MA, lovely stuff.

I'm sorry I can't post a chart right now. But take your 1H chart and zoom out a couple of times and look at that bar again that you fibbed. It's a high volume up bar after a significant up move. Markets don't like high volume up bars. Also look at 4H zoomed out, again we see high volume up bar after a move up. Finally around the 25th we see result from the selling.

Your remarks are vague so i'm assuming you're bearish because of the mention of resistance and I think your point 3 is showing price coming up on low volume. It seems like you're ignoring the back ground, price dropping 400 pips then the climatic volume coming in on 1H. EU might drop back down on the lows to test the climatic volume a few times, but why concentrate on the highs on what is probably an accumulation area?

Couple of charts for AUDUSD.

The pair has been in a down trend and now climatic volume has come into play. Watch the dips for low volume, trade like the professionals, accumulate your positions and force the market to prove you right.

Im looking for another dip on low volume to start buying. If a shake out occurs and price dips below and then closes up and out of the demand area then its time to start doing some serious buying.
