IMO 1 big mistake that i see over & over again is focus on short term - short term is meaningless - the 2 longterm MM that i use is R:R [in trade] and comp [offline] - simple [but powerful] works for me cause everting is random

Price was in the channel range. What made you to get into the trade? I could see price was hanging around S61 level and near the bottom of the trend line.
How helpfull the trend lines in TDI are?
What are your check list before taking the trade?

From looking at your chart, the divergence wasn't great too many peaks and troughs for my liking and the other thing I see straight away, the Asia low was only about 10 pips away from your entry, couple that with the time of the morning it was taken with only Asia open, I would wait to see what Frankfurt and London wanted to do. If you did take a chance anyway, and put the trade in, once it closed above that pivot I would have taken it out I wouldn't have waited that long to realise it was going to lose. As soon as the trade you've taken is invalidated like that you are best off coming out with a minimum loss.

Felt a little under the weather on Friday so I didn't post my trades. I have 2 charts for you. UJ multiple trade positions for +232 pips and the other a M5 scalp trade for +7 pips on EU (7.2 pips to be exact) . Most people would say that the UJ trade is the bigger trade with more profit. Not so fast my fellow traders.

The UJ trade was taken using small lot size and the EU trade was taken using one big lot position ( more than one standard lot). The EU trade earned me more $$$. In trading the number of pips gained is all relative. I enjoy trading a bigger size in my scalping trades and smaller size with multiple entries for my longer term trades.

I just wanted to let you know that when I say, I made +232 pips it doesn't mean that I made $10 per pip. It is up to you to decide which style suits you best. TMS for M30 charts trading system can make you money even if you enter with just one position.

I know what you are doing and doing it well but hear my thought about big lots small distance.
Had your EU trade went badly it would of wiped out sizable profits from UJ plus other pairs.I mean -10 loss equaling +400 pips gain is not conducive for RR purposes and account gain on solid grounds.
I alternate my lots but always stay within my RR.Anyway feel free to dismiss my comment should it already been well thought out by you

GM Davit, thanks for your post. What you are saying makes perfect sense and my way of scalping isn't newbie friendly. I am comfortable scalping the M5 just as you are comfortable with your way of trading. I don't scalp as much as I used to and am enjoying trading your way.

My charts were for illustration purposes to newbies who see the big pip haul and decide to duplicate your or GS's results by trading their regular size and keep on adding to losing positions hoping that price will turn in their favor. Just wanted to show that pip haul is all relative to trade size. For example, a -400 pip multiple trades= one -10 pip trade= -1.0% of account.

You are doing good and have real talent.
I agree that pip count could be deceptive as far as % gain.Sometimes I just post % gained instead of pips.On average I make 2-5% from my batches of trades.Last month I took 111trades 83 winners 28 losses DD max 4.5% gain 29.8% basically 30%
That was achieved with small lots with virtually stress free.

I don't want to hijack the way LK trades and others TMS30 system traders.I just build positions based on System signals and my signals.
my gains could be your worst nightmares so before you start firing away I very much advise stick with TMS30 strictly.
I've been trading 4years but was gambling 5 years prior in sports until the US government stopped my gambling account.I am just giving you some background that risk taking is something I am comfortable with but it is risky nevertheless so please just trade TMS30! I can't be hold responsible for your actions.

The way I interpret the abbreviations by griffinssoul (GS).

IMO= In my opinion
EU= EURUSD
-50:150= Stoploss (SL) 50 pips: Profit target (PT) 150 pips
MM= Money Management
R:R= Risk to Reward Ratio
BRNs= Big Round Numbers

IMO : I am not in the same club who blames others for their own action.
I will take this way: There is lot to learn from your chart & post, as it is highlightening the possible adverse effect when people don't do their home work properly.
Thanks for inputs and advise which will enable us to be cautious and trade more sensibly. Please continue ........ the good work.

There was no divergence on my chart (using Pro TDI). What I saw was price making higher high and and hidden divergence formed (continuation signal). I love TDI Pro sooo much
That could be a nightmare to some who traded purely on pin bars. Of course not all divergence set ups work 100% , what we need to do is making sure to cut our SLs small once we realised the signal did not work out or market changed.

Thanks for sharing PipsN. I came from that background scalping M5, still having my eyes on it sometimes but I feel more relaxed just looking at M30 and stepping into H4. It took very long time to change my habit but I finally have both hands and feet on it
