lotsa opps in the oil sector weak hands. A rising tide lifts all ships - rising oil price will float even those boats what are full of holes. Read the news on developments in the ME, looking more precarious every day....

keep on the names that have good volume and at least some plausible business model going forward. There are lots of scams in the penny stocks. Learn how to recognize and avoid those. And, of course, don't bet more than you can afford to lose.....

Yes true, but i'm not that crazy to hope for such return

With stocks you usually have to wait for months/years for get decent returns, i'm not that patient that's why i trade forex

So many penny stocks on the Australian/Greek/Portuguese/Canadian indexes

Especially Aussie/Loonie indexes, that's weird

yes, still. these things take time. I still think Greece is getting pushed towards regime change, and that could draw out for more months. But, maybe they get a deal towards the end of the month. I will be watching for that. Perhaps, as the drama unfolds, NBG will dip to $1 or below. If you set a buy order to catch a spike if/when the deal comes, you might catch a 50% move or better in just a few days....

right, I am looking for some more downside for NBG, but that will change. Most likely, there will be a change of government in Greece & they will get more money. Some of that is mine, since I pay taxes in the USA, which pays the lion's share into the IMF kitty. Maybe that will be settled soon, maybe it will drag out for months.

A stock trader can buy the NBG shares and look for a 2 or 3x return as it rebounds from near $1 to $2-$3 on the scenario above. If said trader owns the shares, he may not mind waiting for that payout - a month or a year, whatever. He risks $1/share & he can lose if the share price goes down - but time is not his enemy, as the shares may rebound and eventually make him a profit.

An options trader may choose to work within some time constraints, in search of higher returns. In the Aug/Nov $2.50 call calendar shown below, contracts are $7 - or $0.07/share. So, instead of tying up $1/a share, I might tie up $0.07/share to look for a rise in the NBG share price before the November expiry. If NBG goes down in the coming weeks, one might buy that calendar for $0.05 instead, or do a $2.00 calendar instead.

NBG about to push sub $1, looking for a new low......I'll be watching for a deal announcement to come out of the eurogroup meeting 6/18 - if it comes, NBG will get bought fast...

right, NBG still the only "penny" stock I am watching....if you are following the "crisis" in Greece you know that the bank may actually be closed for the coming week as capital controls are implemented. I am not sure but trading on NBG may be suspended. However, I still will not be surprised to see Greece get a deal and NBG shares will bounce off whatever dip they suffer. Stay tuned.

Go time? Finally? There's nothing left to play on the downside for NBG. The only trade left is long shares or bullish options on a relief rally after this weekend's referendum, with a de facto result that sees Greece's place in the EMU secured...for another 6 months maybe. Anyway, stay tuned....

well we know how the referendum went, but now comes the final chapter. And NBG is up 22% today. It appears the equity crowd sees light at the end of the tunnel for Greece....

Think it was like 2011 after wave of Greek bailouts all state funds = all investing to Greek bonds, reported +-100% per year. Greece government funds were like top 3 from globe that year . Was funny.

Wanted to see how ASE might do today, but I see it will remain shuttered. Watching NBG and GREK, there has been no stock trading in Athens since 6/29....
